Two photos of the Lincoln chair

As featured in last week’s post, I had the opportunity to view the Lincoln assassination chair at The Henry Ford Museum April 14, 2015. The chair was placed on a platform in the open air. Museum visitors were able to view the chair from any vantage point circling it. There were period-dressed Union soldiers guarding the exhibit. The museum gave out printed information on the history of the chair. Media outlets were interviewing people waiting in line for a photo opportunity in front of the platform (with the chair in the background). I did not get interviewed but I was certainly ready. I was wondering when the chair might be taken out for display in such a way again? Maybe at the 200th anniversary of the Lincoln assassination? I won’t be around to find out!
